Travel Times

Travel Time information is available in Miami-Dade County and is helping motorists make informed choices about their routes of travel. These travel time messages are estimates based on real-time data gathered by roadway detectors that consider actual travel speeds along a corridor. The information is used by traffic managers at the SunGuide® Transportation Management Center (TMC) and is posted on to the 511 Traveler Information System and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS).

Motorists traveling in Miami-Dade County, along Interstates 75, 195, 95 and State Road 826/Palmetto Expressway (from I-75 to the Golden Glades Interchange, as well as to State Road 836/Dolphin Expressway) are now seeing travel time messages posted onto DMS. Travel Time messages are also available between Miami-Dade and Broward counties on Interstate 75.

Combined with the traveler information services available through 511, Travel Time estimates can provide useful information to motorists and assist in route planning and selection.
